The Kaduna State Government denied knowledge of a social media video showing security officers parading detained bandits in the Chikun Local Government Area on Sunday.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, stated that the video has prompted inquiries from the media and citizens.
According to him, the state administration has not received any response from security authorities reporting any such activity.
“Therefore no information can be provided at this time on the veracity of video clips making the rounds.
“The Kaduna State Government is awaiting feedback from security agencies on operations being conducted across various locations of interest. As soon as precise operational feedback is received, updates will be provided to the media and citizens,” the statement read.
