Mexico will take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a friendly, as part of preparation for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Although the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the tournament, El Tri are among the 29 countries that have already booked their places.

Mexico qualified alongside the United States of America and Canada from North America.

Nigeria made it to the final African qualifying round for the tournament, but lost out after drawing 1-1 with Ghana at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
