Nigerians on twitter have taken to their various accounts to voice their displeasure at the proposed purchase form fee for the presidential Expression of Interest form of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The APC on Wednesday released its proposed purchase of form fees in which presidential aspirants are to pay 30 million for Nomination and 100 million for Expression of Interest forms.

No sooner had the party announced the proposed fees than deluge of reaction began to trail it.

A presidential aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamu Garba II, expressed shock over the development.

He said the outrageous fee will block competent persons from getting into politics, calling on Nigerians to resist attempts by moneybags and rich folks to monetize politics.

If we don’t come together and use our collective power to save this country from strangulation of the moneybags, we are doing a great disservice to our generation and that of the future.

We cannot continue to buy political offices in Nigeria, we need competent leaders come 2023

A Twitter user with the moniker DUCE wondered how politicians will pay N100m for nomination despite the myriad of challenges facing the country.

So una politicians get #100m to purchase Presidential forms, yet

-Asuu still dey strike.
– No steady power supply for 62 years in the country till now.
– No Standard Basic Education system.
– Poverty still on the rise.

The APC cabals have #100m to buy nomination form for presidency but their FG don’t have money to settle education issue with ASUU. May we never make wrong choice of leaders again in this country.

APC Presidential ticket is #100M. In the same country where police and EFCC will harass youths who have just 1million in their account. I know there is a 40% discount for youths but then we have a long way to go as a country. pic.twitter.com/HlpQZXCfV5

The world is breeding inequality. Imagine men forking out #100m for form but women only need #30m for same form. O ga lara APC o pic.twitter.com/bKFU9etHKi

Someone would buy party's nomination form for #100M & We expect him not to embezzle when He attains office?🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️😀, Naija's political rot is systemic.
