Senator Rochas Okorocha says President Muhammadu Buhari is not a man you can predict his ways and body language.
He said Buhari may spring an element of surprise concerning his choice of presidential candidate under the All Progressives Congress.
Okorocha said this when when he appeared on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Tuesday.
Rochas Okorocha, who was a two-time governor of Imo State, and a presidential hopeful was speaking on the battle for the APC presidential ticket.
The former governor said that the president might have a preferred candidate, but he had not made that public.
He added that mood of the nation, interest of the people, the APC, among other factors would determine who Buhari’s choice of a successor would be.
Okorocha said, “If you know President Muhammadu Buhari, he is a general and unpredictable. You cannot predict what he will do. He may pull everybody by surprise.
“Buhari is very intelligent as he may decide to consider some factors: he will look at the mood of the nation and see who will actually fit into the mood of the nation; who will win the election for the APC because definitely he doesn’t want to lose his seat to the PDP. So, he will be smart enough to say this person can and that (person) cannot; there will be a lot of consultations.”
Okoracha said that the party is considering the nation not only the party, as the PDP is quietly watching to see if the APC will stumble by producing a poor candidate.
