PDP reschedules governorship, senatorial primaries

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, on Wednesday night, approved the update of the Party’s Timetable and Schedule of Activities for the 2023 general election, which shifted dates for its Governorship and Senatorial primary elections, among others.

This is contained in a statement signed late Wednesday by the National Publicity Secretary of the Party, Debo Ologunagba, titled, ‘2023: PDP updates timetable and schedule of activities.’

According to Ologunagba, the new schedule is as follows: “Local Government Area Congress to elect one National Delegate per LGA and one Person living with disability in the 774 Local Government Areas: Tuesday, May 10, 2022.

“State House of Assembly (State Constituency Congress): Wednesday, May 18, 2022.

“Governorship Primaries: Monday, May 23, 2022.”

The NWC, therefore, urged all aspirants to various positions, critical stakeholders, members of the party nationwide, as well as relevant agencies of government to take note of the changes.
