President Muhammadu Buhari will leave Nigeria on Thursday to meet with the new President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to express his condolences on the death of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the former President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.

During his visit, Buhari will congratulate the new President and renew the long-standing friendship between Nigeria and the UAE.

In an earlier message, Buhari reaffirmed Nigeria’s friendly relationship with the UAE.

He stated that the cooperation between the two governments has aided Nigeria in tracing illegal assets and terrorist funds.
