On Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized Russia for destroying the House of Culture in the Ukrainian city of Lazova in the Kharkiv area.

After the demolition of a cultural institution that injured at least seven people, Zelensky called Russia’s airstrikes “absolute evil, absolute stupidity.”

According to Ukraine’s President’s Office, a Russian missile demolished the House of Culture in the Ukrainian city of Lozova on Friday, wounding seven people, including an eleven-year-old kid.

In response, Zelensky, who shared a video of the airstrikes on Telegram, which destroyed the “newly renovated House of Culture” and created a big cloud of dust, accused Russia of targeting culture, education, and humanity.

“The occupiers identified culture, education and humanity as their enemies. They do not spare missiles or bombs for them. What is in the minds of people who choose such targets? Absolute evil, absolute stupidity,” Zelensky said underneath the video of the strike, according to CNN.

This comes less than 24 hours after Zelensky lamented that many were killed following a Russian missile strike in a village, Desna, in the Chernihiv region, north of Kyiv, on Thursday.

Russia and Ukraine have been fighting for close to three months and many casualties have already been recorded due to the war.

Russian President, Vladimir Putin, had in February this year, ordered the invasion of Ukraine because of some political differences between both neighbouring nations.
