Three jailers die in Yobe road crash

A fatal road crash in Yobe state has claimed the lives of three officers of the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCS).

Prior to their death, the officers were serving at the Medium Security Correctional Centre in Potiskum town, Yobe State.

The incident occurred along Maiduguri-Damaturu high on Sunday while the NCS personnel were returning from a wedding that took place in Maiduguri, Borno State.

The deceased are: Ibrahim Ibrahim Kori, Ibrahim Garba Adamu and Abdullahi Usman.

The remains of the deceased have since been interred on Monday after a funeral prayer was held at the Palace of Fika Emir in Potiskum town, Yobe State.

In attendance was the Emir of Fika and Chairman Yobe Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Muhammadu Abali Ibn Muhammadu Idrissa, alongside hundreds of other people.
