President Muhammadu Buhari received the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Thursday evening, at his residence, Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.
The visit is the first time Tinubu will visit Buhari after he clinched the ruling APC presidential ticket on Wednesday at the Eagles Square, Abuja.
Tinubu was accompanied by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State.
President Buhari had earlier urged the Progressives Governors Forum through its Chairman, Governor Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi State, to rally around Tinubu to ensure victory in the next year’s election.
Buhari made the appeal in a letter addressed to Governor Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi State and Chairman, Progressives Governor Forum, on Thursday evening.
