Terrorrists storm Katsina metropolis, kidnap 8

At least eight persons have been kidnapped in Katsina after a fresh attack on the State metropolis by terrorrists in the early hours of Tuesday.

The motorcycle-riding gunmen stormed Shola Quarters behind the Federal Medical Centre in the city capital around 4 am.

Spokesperson of the state police command, SP Gambo Isah confirmed the incident.

Although no life was lost in the attack, some residents got injured while fleeing.

Isah gave the names of the abductees, all residents of Shola Quarters consisting of five males and one female as: Tanimu Adamu, Abdullahi Isiya, Isiya Rabiu, Ibrahim Adamu, Mannir Jayi and a woman whose name is yet to be disclosed.

However, Isah noted that one of the kidnapped victims, Mannir Jayi, managed to escape from the abductors and is helping the police with the investigations.
