Police have arrested four suspects in connection with the attack at Igama village, Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State.

Recall that some media houses including WITHIN NIGEROW had reported that suspected herders invaded the Igama community in the early hours of Sunday and killed 15 people and burned down all the houses in the community.

In a statement issued by the Police Command in the state, Catherine Anene, said that one of the arrested ‘unknown gunmen’ died as a result of an injury he sustained while they engaged security operatives who stormed their hideouts.

The statement read in part, “Police teams deployed to the area in collaboration with other security agents have been on cordon and search operations within the forest.
