BREAKING: Nnamdi Kanu loses as court rejects his bail application

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, lost the move to regain freedom.

Kanu’s bail application was denied by Justice Binta Nyako of the Abuja Federal High Court.

The IPOB leader asked the court for permission to discharge the previous order revoked his bail.

In her ruling on Tuesday, Justice Binta Nyako ruled that Kanu had not provided sufficient reasons for the court to vacate its order.

As a result, she dismissed the application as an abuse of the court process.

In other news, the Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, a civil rights advocacy group has stated that the resignation of Justice Tanko Muhammad as the Chief Justice of Nigeria is not enough, as it calls for Muhammad’s arrest.

Muhammad’s resignation as the 17th Chief Justice of Nigeria was made public on Monday.

It is pertinent to note that Muhammad’s resignation followed quickly on the heels of the allegations of mismanagement of funds levelled against him by 14 justices of the Supreme Court.
