Following the kidnap of Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Gyadi Gyadi, who was abducted by terrorists in Kaduna State, a search-and-rescue mission has been embarked upon by troops of the Nigerian Army.

On Monday morning, June 27, the former DPO of Pambegua Division in Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna, was kidnapped along Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Road.

The Chief Superintendent of Police was on the way to his new duty post‎ in Birnin-Gwari, when he ran into the gunmen in a community called Korna Ruwa and was whisked away to an unknown location.

Military sources on Monday night told SaharaReporters that soldiers were combing the area and would leave no stone unturned to rescue the senior police officer.
