Leeds United is getting close to completing the signing of Juan Mata, according to the Daily Star.
Mata is currently a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Manchester United earlier this summer.
Jesse Marsch’s team is in need of creative reinforcements now that Raphinha has been transferred to Barcelona.
The 34-year-old player was limited to just 12 appearances for United during the previous campaign.
He is yet to find a new club, but interest is reported to be quite high in the Spanish midfielder.
Some LaLiga clubs were linked to him throughout the year but a move is yet to materialise nearly half a month after his contract ended in England.
