A pregnant woman and seven others have been abducted by bandits at Lema community, Mando opposite Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Zaria, Kaduna State.
The bandits were said to have kidnapped the victims when they entered three houses around 1:00 am on Sunday.
According to Daily Trust, one of the residents, Musa Danladi, said they were all afraid to step out of their houses because of gunshots.
“They came around 1:am and took away eight residents including a pregnant woman that came to visit her sick mother in the community. This is not the first time bandits would attack our community,” he said.
Other residents called on the state government to come to their rescue.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mohammed Jalige, is yet to comment on the incident as of the time of filing this report.
