The Zamfara State government has been accused of being the originator of banditry and other forms of terrorist attacks across the country.

A Peoples Democratic Party Chieftain in Birnin Gwari Local government area of Kaduna State, Ibrahim Musa Yakodo, made this known on Sunnday after bandits’ kingpin, Ado Aleiro was installed as Sarkin Fulanin Yandoto in Zamfara State

Earlier newsmen had reported that a bandits’ kingpin known as Ado Aleiro was on Saturday turbaned as the Sarkin Fulanin Yandoto by the Yandoton Daji Emirate of Zamfara State.

Ado Alero has reportedly led attacks on many villages.

Following the incident, Yakodo, himself a Fulani man, told DAILY POST in Kaduna that the government of Zamfara State has openly displayed its support for criminals.

He said with the installation of a criminal in Zamfara State Council of Traditional Rulers, the coast has become clear, and very soon, bandits will take over the state as governor, and the full course of criminality spread across the entire country.

He said gradually, criminals will become part and parcel of the government, as the country’s resources are gradually being shared among them.

” From what happened yesterday, the installation of a criminal, who has killed several innocent souls, and the government sees no one else good enough or worthy enough to bring in, then the suffering of Nigerians will continue.” He said

He envisaged that many factors came to play in the installation of bandit kingpin, because if the installation can be done, openly, without interruption from the federal government, the DSS and security agents, it means, by extension, invisible hands from top government functionaries have played a vital role.

“Gradually, these criminals are gaining ground. In Birni Gwari LGA, in Kaduna, they are in control of that LGA. They are now in Abuja, the seat of government and nobody is saying anything.” He said

He presumed that the 2023 election may not hold, because armed bandits may take control of the country and suspend all political activities.
