The immediate past Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, says Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State is an indispensable character in Nigeria’s political terrain.
Dogara stated this when he, along with former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, visited Wike on Saturday in Rumueprikom, Port Harcourt.
He also stated that his visit was aimed at creating an atmosphere for an all-inclusive Nigeria.
Dogara said, “Everyone agrees with us that Governor Wike is one of those indispensable political leaders. For us, it’s a search to build an all-inclusive Nigeria.
“So, we feel that as part of the agenda setting, we should meet with him, and that is the reason why we are here. And for the rest, whatever it is, maybe in the future we can discuss that.”
The meeting is coming a day after Dogara and Lawal met with northern leaders in Abuja where they voice their unequivocal displeasure and opposition of the Muslim-Muslim ticket fielded by the All Progressives Congress for 2023 presidency.
