Samuel Okwaraji’s last breath on the Pitch — A reminder that time is never ours to keep

In other news, Joe Aribo has said that his career has been blighted by Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the Qatar 2022 World Cup and Glasgow Rangers’ loss to Frankfurt in the Europa League final.

He said the two happenings are the biggest regret of his season last year.

Recall that Aribo was part of the Super Eagles team that played out a 1-1 draw against Ghana in Abuja in February.

The result effectively put an end to Nigeria’s dream of featuring at the Mundial as Black Stars won the tie on away goals to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar. The reverse fixture in Kumasi had ended goalless.
