The final words Todd Boehly spoke to Thomas Tuchel before terminating his employment with Chelsea have been made public.
According to BILD, Boehly fired the German with the words: “We want to make a new start”.
Tuchel was taken aback and shocked by his remarks.
Boehly made the decision the day after Chelsea’s 1-0 Champions League loss to Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday.
Tuchel leaves the club sitting in sixth place in the Premier League with 10 points.
The Blues began the campaign on a bad note and have already lost twice in the league to Leeds United and Southampton.
