Graham Potter, the new Chelsea manager, has given the Premier League’s powerhouses two commitments.

A few days ago, Potter was named the head coach of Chelsea.

The Englishman took over for Thomas Tuchel, who was fired by club co-owner Todd Boehly last week following Chelsea’s 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League.

Potter did promise, however, that he would give his all every day and shoulder the club’s responsibility in remarks made ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League matchup with RB Salzburg on Wednesday.

“I am very thankful for it. In terms of what I can promise, we are playing a game that is uncontrollable, so I can promise that I will give my best every single day and take responsibility.

“The team that I would like to see is one that is balanced in attack and defence – a humble team, a respectful team that runs hard and fights when they don’t have the ball. Of course, we want to entertain, but we also want to win,” Potter said at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday.
