A middle-aged man identified simply as ‘Agent Dan’ has reportedly committed suicide inside his room at 42, Obahor Street, in Warri, Delta State over alleged failed relationship.
According to PUNCH, witnesses said that his action might not be unconnected with him losing a girlfriend known as Ejiro, who reportedly dumped him for another man recently.
The gory incident has since thrown the entire neighbourhood into shocking mourning.
Sources said Agent Dan’s co-tenant alerted neighbours when she noticed that his door was still closed as at 8:30 a.m, “which was quite unusual of him”.
The co-tenant was said to had knocked severally with no response, but rather perceived a strange odour suspected to be chemical oozing out from within.
It was gathered that it was at that point that the neighbours forced open the door only for them to find him dead, with foam and blood in his mouth and nostrils.
Also, an empty bottle of sniper was discovered beside his lifeless body.
The state police public relations officer, Bright Edafe, when contacted said such incident had not been reported to the command as of the time of filing this report, PUNCH reports.
