The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has started training on intelligence gathering with private security guards in Abuja in response to the never-ending security challenges throughout the nation.

Operatives from private security companies operating in the region participated in the training, which was initiated by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command of the NSCDC over the weekend.

In light of the nation’s security concerns, the Commandant General of Corps, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, was praised by the head of the Private Guards Company (PGC) of Corps, Deputy Commandant Tijani Usman, for putting together a program that would empower private guards.

According to him, the success of the corps on the field in Nigeria today was as a result of professionalism, courage and a proactive approach by the operatives, which have been the yearnings of the Commandant General.
