Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested one, Isaac Akpan John, for stabbing his neighbour, identified simply as Godwin, to death in the Ajah area of the state.
The 45-year-old suspect was said to have stabbed his neighbour during a fight following a disagreement last Thursday.
It was gathered that as soon as the fight broke out, John dashed into his room and came out with a kitchen knife and stabbed the neighbour on the neck.
According to Daily Trust, a witness, Mukaila, said, “Nobody knew he came back with a kitchen knife. What we saw was blood gushing out of Godwin’s neck which made him slump. He was confirmed dead in the hospital.”
The state police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident, said, “The suspect was handed over to the police and investigation is ongoing.”
