Ekiti State Supplementary Appropriation Bill of N21billion for 2022 has scaled the second reading at the House of Assembly.

Deputy Speaker Hakeem Jamiu, who presided at the plenary yesterday, informed the lawmakers of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s request to approve the supplementary budget.

The House Leader, Gboyega Aribisogan, representing Ikole Constituency 1, moved the motion for the bill to be committed to the whole house. It was seconded by Tajudeen Akingbolu, representing Ekiti West Constituency 1.

Aribisogan said the bill should be approved because of serious issues it sought to address, urging the lawmakers to pass the bill expeditiously in the interest of the state.
