A suspected internet fraudster popularly referred to as “yahoo boy”, has fled after stabbing a commercial sex worker to death and setting the hotel ablaze along Nnebisi road in Asaba, Delta State.
It was gathered that the tragic incident became known when thick smoke from the room enveloped the area.
According to Daily Trust, a source said, “We don’t know the man, we don’t know what happened, but the girl is dead now. The man ran away after what he did. We need the police to help arrest the man so he can face the law.”
The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, in a telephone chat with Daily Trust, confirmed the report with a promise to provide more details later.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that in August a sex worker was stabbed and strangled to death at a popular brothel in Ughelli, headquarters of Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State.
The deceased, simply identified as Confidence was found dead in her room in the brothel after she failed to show up to join her colleagues to scout for customers.
