Members of the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) have begun their emergency meeting.
The closed-door meeting started at 12:42 pm on Monday at the National Secretariat of the union located on the University of Abuja campus.
The meeting, which was being presided over by the president of the union, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, would address issues of “half salary” paid to lecturers in October.
According to Daily Trust, a member of the National Executive Council, who spoke in confidence, said other issues will be addressed and communicated to the media accordingly.
