Olorogun Daniel Ighedo, the vice-chairman of the Uvwie Local Government Council in Delta State, was confirmed dead on Tuesday following a protracted conflict with the Uvwie king.

Ighedo, a native of the Uvwie town of Ekpan, passed away on Tuesday. He reportedly slumped and was declared dead at the hospital to which he was rushed for care.

Hours after he was taken to the hospital, the doctors confirmed him dead.

Ighedo was allegedly ostracised by the Uvwie monarch over the crisis surrounding the appointment of Community Liaison Officer (CLO) to a company in the area.
