NFF President Gusau charges Super Eagles to win Costa Rica

The Super Eagles have been charged by Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President Ibrahim Gusau to give it their all in order to defeat Costa Rica.

On Thursday at the National Stadium in San Jose, a friendly match between the Super Eagles and the Americans will take place.

It will be the first-ever meeting between both countries at the senior level.

Costa Rica, who are among the 32 countries that will compete at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar will use the game as part of their preparations for the global soccer fiesta.

“It is pertinent for you to note that Nigerians are result-oriented and they want the team to always have a good outing in every match, friendly or competitive,” Gusau was quoted by thenff.com.

“It is a friendly game but at the same time, we want to win.”

The game will kick-off at 8 pm local time on Wednesday (3 am Thursday in Nigeria).
