On Wednesday, the Lagos State Police Command detained 11 alleged cultists at a hotel in the state’s Agege district.

Men from the Rapid Response Squad made the arrest while they were out on patrol in the wee hours of the morning.

The suspects were allegedly involved in a violent altercation at the hotel as members of opposing cult groups, according to a statement on the RRS Twitter page.

It was gathered that four suspected cultists were “viciously injured” with broken bottles during the clash.

The statement read, “Around 2:45 a.m. today, our officers on patrol arrested 11 members of rival cult gangs involved in a violent clash in a hotel (name withheld) in Agege.

“Four of them were viciously injured with broken bottles during the fight.
