The Lagos State University Directorate of Advancement’s free medical service has helped Badagry residents (LASUDA).
Over 250 people benefited from the gesture as part of the institution’s support for the community, and they showed up in great numbers.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello reportedly supported the gesture, according to LASUDA Director Prof. Yinka Okubena-Dipeolu.
“Health is wealth, please, invite your friends, families, and neighbours to be part of this. The drugs are free, for 400 targeted individuals we are reaching out to”, she said.
The programme, which is one of the people-centred gestures of the directorate, featured eye tests, breast and cervical cancer screening, HIV screening, cough screening, and blood pressure tests, among others.
She lauded the VC, traditional rulers, and chairman of Badagry Local Government for identifying with the exercise.
The chairman, represented by his vice, Elizabeth Kappo, hailed LASUDA for extending the gesture to the community.
Representative of Oba Akran, Chief Michael Avoseh, enjoined beneficiaries to take advantage of the free medical experience.
Over 250 persons got free drugs and 100 free eyeglasses.
