Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has mourned Lagos Assembly member, Abdulsobur Olayiwola Olawale, who died on Tuesday.
Olawale, popularly known as Omititi, reportedly slumped and died shortly after the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential rally at Rawang Pam Township Stadium in Jos.
Tinubu prayed that God Almighty comforts those he left behind while granting him eternal rest.
His tweet reads: “I offer my deepest condolences to the family of Hon. Sobur Olawale who, until his tragic demise yesterday, represented Mushin Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
“Omititi, as he was affectionately called by friends and loved ones, was a beloved family man, committed lawmaker and loyal party faithful. He was unrelenting in his support for the growth and development of Lagos State and Nigeria.
“I sympathise with his family and constituents, and pray the Almighty comforts those he left behind while granting him eternal rest.”
Olawale was a two-term lawmaker representing Mushin constituency II.
He lost his third term bid to a former Sole Administrator of Mushin Local Government, Yinka Esho Kazeem.
He is survived by a wife and three children. The 58-year-old was the Chairman of the House Committee on Local Government Services.
