Diego Schwarzstein, the physician for Lionel Messi, has stated that he would prefer for Argentina to drop all three of her group games in Qatar.

In other words, he wouldn’t want his nation, Argentina, to win the FIFA World Cup in 2022.

Schwarzstein enjoys a close relationship with Messi, but he does not want the 35-year-old to ever win the FIFA World Cup.

He believed the Argentine government would use the World Cup success for propaganda to cover up its failure.

“As a football fan, I would like Argentina to be champions. As an Argentine citizen, as a human being, I would like them to lose all three games and be eliminated in the first round,” he told The Times.

“Why, I’m convinced that this obscenely populist government that we have here would use the success of Argentina at the World Cup to cover things up,” he said.
