Jaap Stam, a former defender for Manchester United, asserted that Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview with Piers Morgan was planned.
Stam thinks the interview was conducted with the intent of facilitating his departure from the club.
The former Manchester United player claimed that Ronaldo was fully aware of his actions.
Ronaldo lambasted the club’s owners, hierarchy, manager Erik ten Hag and his teammates during the explosive interview.
“He did it on purpose,” the Dutchman told Betting.
“There was a strategy behind it in terms of ‘how are we going to organise this so that I can leave the club?’
“In everything that has been going on, it’s been arranged in how it needs to be to leave the club.”
