The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) hereby announces that as of Monday, December 5, 2022, only two companies had expressed interest in the auction of the 3.5GHz Spectrum band. These two companies are:

i. Airtel Networks Limited (Airtel) and
ii. Standard Network & Connections Limited (Standard Network).

Only Airtel, however, paid the Intention to Bid Deposit (IBD) as required by the Information Memorandum (IM), and Standard Network sent an email requesting a deadline extension of twelve (12) working days, which was unacceptable given the auction’s schedule.

Having met all the provision in the IM, Airtel has, therefore, emerged as the sole Bidder.
