Dr. Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council’s director general and former Katsina State government secretary, has declared that the party’s ongoing turmoil won’t prevent it from winning the 2023 elections.

The G-5 Governors, led by Nyesom Wike of River State, and the party’s rift in the Katsina chapter, according to Dr. Inuwa, are common problems that will be resolved shortly.

He denied the claims that the state chapter of the party split because of his defection to the party and emphasized that he had made efforts to get together with the previous governor Ibrahim Shema for a reconciliation.

He added that the party is also resolving the issues through series of engagements and negotiations ongoing to form a formidable team that would unseat the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said that Governor Wike is too sophisticated to go to APC, because he is a national figure whose ambition of becoming president of Nigeria can only be achieved in PDP and called on members of the party to remain calm and law-abiding.
