92,000 members of other political parties join PDP in Kastina

At least 19,000 kinsmen of president Muhammadu Buhari have joined the Peoples Democratic Party.

According to The Director-General of the Atiku Campaign Council, Dino Melaye, who made the disclosure, they are among the 92,000 persons who resigned the membership of their political parties to join the PDP in Kastina state.

Dino announced the development on Tuesday during the campaign rally for the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in the state.

Dino said out of the 92,000 decampees, 19,000 are from the Daura Zone, while 23,000 are from Funtua and the remaining 49,000 are from the Katsina zone.

The PDP National Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, while welcoming the decampees, assured them that if Atiku wins Nigeria will experience a breath of fresh air, unprecedented turn around in the economy and lives of its citizens.

Atiku, who is in Katsina in continuation of his 2023 campaign, was accompanied to the state by his running mate and Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, among other chieftains of the party.
