Kidnappers have killed three abducted siblings and a motorcycle rider after collecting N60 million ransom from the siblings’ father at a forest near Garin Dogo in Lau Local Government Area of Taraba State.

The tragic incident occurred on Sunday after the siblings were abducted at Garin Dogo by kidnappers, who demanded N100m ransom.

It was gathered that the father of the three young men, one Alhaji Musa, a cattle dealer, negotiated with the kidnappers, who agreed on N60m ransom for the release of the three siblings and the motorcycle rider was hired to deliver the ransom to the abductors at a forest near the village.

However, the kidnappers killed the four of them after collecting the ransom. It was learnt that the victims were buried on Monday in the village.

In a related incident, five suspected kidnappers were gunned down by the army at Maisamari town in Sardauna Local Government Area of the state on Sunday.

The suspects, who were alleged to be behind most of the kidnappings in the area, met their Waterloo while trying to kidnap a cattle dealer in the area.

The state police spokesman, DSP Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the two incidents.
