With Dr. Karo Ilolo, a former commissioner for urban renewal and youth development, announcing his resignation from the party and citing the party’s poor leadership and irreconcilable differences as his reasons, the wave of defections from the People’s Democratic Party in Delta State has continued into the new year.
Dr. Ilolo revealed the necessity for him to seek out new partnerships and platforms where loyalty, commitment, and dedication are rewarded in a letter to the party’s Ward 2 Chairman in Isoko South, Oleh.
In the letter dated January 1, 2023 titled: Letter of Resignation from the People’s Democratic Party, Dr Karo Ilolo stated that, “I hereby wish to tender my resignation from the People’s Democratic Party effective today, the 1st of January 2023.
“Irreconcilable differences in Political paths and poor leadership structure in the party, especially in Isoko South LGA has necessitated my desire to seek alliances and platforms that recognizes commitment, loyalty and dedication”, the short letter said, wishing the party the best of luck as he seems shelter elsewhere.
