Human rights activist Aisha Yesufu has stated that the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, cannot fix Nigeria alone.

On Sunday, the 49-year-old announced this via her verified Twitter handle.

Peter Obi is not going to fix Nigeria alone. Vote competent people into the National Assembly, she tweeted.

Yesufu went on to say in a YouTube video released shortly before the tweet that Nigerians should not elect “selfish politicians” as lawmakers and then expect positive results if they only vote for Peter Obi for president.

She insisted that people should vote for competence rather than political parties.

During a campaign in Nasarawa State in October, Aisha Yesufu stated that if the former Anambra State governor is elected president, she will hold him accountable.

2023 election is an election for survival. We are not only voting for ourselves, we are also voting for our children and our grandchildren, and the generation yet to come.

We want Mr Peter Obi to be in office. I will hold him accountable; we’ll ensure he works for the people, she told the crowd in Lafia, the state capital.
