The Youths and Students wing of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council in Osun State has made it known that Nigerian youths deserve a better nation that brings desired affluence and opportunities for the youths.

The youth insisted that it is the dream of everyone to have a better Nigeria, stating that the only candidate that can make this happen is the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The youths said this at its inaugural meeting held on Thursday at the Tinubu/Shettima campaign office in Osogbo, the State capital. The meeting delved more on how the wing will get to the grassroots to canvass votes for the APC candidates in all elections.

In his welcome address, Chairman of the wing, Ayodele David Asalu said the interaction with stakeholders is very crucial to the success of the party in the February election.

“This important interaction between a very strategic directorate and ward youth leaders who are key stakeholders in the Party is a major move towards ensuring the victory of our great Party at the February 25 Presidential Poll.
Understanding that Youths and Students form a large and critical percentage of the voting population, we as a Directorate are aware of the enormity of the task ahead of us and are therefore committing all of our capacity to ensure that we interface with every youth group, youth organization or youth stakeholder anywhere they may be in the State.

“I must also add that part of the tasks ahead of us is ensuring that Osun State, being a Yoruba State, contributes a significant amount of votes to the pool of votes that will make Asiwaju President.

Reading out what the meeting was aimed at achieving, Asalu urged the youths leaders to go back to their wards and start massive publicity of Asiwaju and Shettima’s sterling qualities that stand them apart from the rest of the Presidential candidates.

“Commence collective rebuttal of the negative narratives that agents of evil are pushing against the person of our candidate and his running mate. Massive recruitment of youths and students into the support base of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and making them agents of mobilization themselves, to ensure that we take up the vast majority of voting youths in our State through the Wards.”

Asalu also called on APC youths to ensure they sensitise electorates around them on the need to ensure they collect their permanent voters cards.

In his short address, Osun APC youth leader, Goke Akinwemimo called on Nigerian youths to see Tinubu as the man with best credentials to make Nigeria better.

Youths leaders from all local government areas of the state went into a serious session where strategies to achieve their mission were thorough analysed.

Some of those present were Ademola Adeyeye, secretary of the directorate, Gboyega Adelabu, Kola Salami, Yetunde Salam, among others.
