Some APC youths in Anambra state today stormed The Tinubu/Shettima Presidential campaign office, Awka to protest against the none release of funds meant for the presidential campaign rally scheduled to hold on Tuesday, January 31.

The protest group led by a member of the committee on accommodation who spoke to newsmen on the condition of anonymity accused Senator Emma Anosike and Chief  Azuka Okwuosa of trying to sabotage the chances of Tinubu in Anambra state.

According to the youths who carried placards with different inscriptions, the APC presidential candidate released millions of naira for the party in the state to mobilize ndi Anambra to the venue of the presidential rally on Tuesday, January 31st, but the money has been hijacked by the duo of Anosike and Okwuosa and that they have refused to release funds to the sun committees to work.

The leader of the group therefore said if by tomorrow, January 28, money is not released to sub committees, the duo should be held responsible if Tinubu comes to Anambra on Tuesday and meets an empty or scanty venue.

They equally threatened to send the situation report on the hijack of the money released to Anambra to the APC presidential campaign headquarters Abuja.

Another source told  newsmen that the 30 APC House of Assembly candidates in Anambra state will boycott presidential rally. He to us that they were not aware that Tinubu is coming to Anambra state on January 31st.

The source said, ‘there was a time the party gave the state assembly candidates 1 million naira each, to support our campaigns, this same cabal hijacked the money.

“We didn’t see it. Now, they have hijacked the over 200 million naira released for Tuesdays presidential rally. We will boycotted it. Tinubu will know that APC is dead in Anambra state without us.”

However, all efforts by our reporter to get the reaction of the APC Publicity Secretary, Hon.Okelo Madukaife proved abortive as his phone number was not going through.
