Gunmen suspected to be political thugs have invaded the campaign venue of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at Omuma Local Government Area, Rivers State.
It was gathered that the unidentified gunmen also vandalized properties at the venue.
According to PUNCH, the APC had arranged the venue for the campaign rally on Sunday night when the thugs attacked the area and destroyed all the property in sight.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that suspected thugs of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held Rivers State APC governorship candidate, Tonye Cole, hostage in Opobo, the hometown of the PDP governorship candidate, Siminilayi Fubara.
Similarly an APC’s campaign rally was attacked in Port Harcourt City Council where suspected dynamite exploded and injured five persons.
