Tuesday’s Townhall Meeting for the governorship candidates in Sokoto State, organized by the Voice of America (VoA) Hausa Service in partnership with the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, was disrupted by thugs allegedly loyal to All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Candidate, Alh Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto.
Violence broke out at the Usman Dan Fodio University Townhall venue, injuring a number of people, including a police officer.
Violence erupted when a question was asked the APC Governorship Candidate from the audience to explain how he intends to handle the menace of area boys in the state.
