Graham Potter was relieved after Chelsea defeated Leeds thanks to Wesley Fofana’s first Premier League goal for the Blues.

Chelsea had only won one of their previous 15 games, making three points appear to be a must for coach Potter.

Following a fast start, the Blues had three chances after 30 minutes to take at least a 3-0 lead.

As Joao Felix hit the crossbar with a long drive and Ben Chilwell pushed wide from an excellent position, Kai Havertz was one on one with Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier.

As Leeds took control of the game and Chelsea began to fade, there was a growing sense of déjà vu at Stamford Bridge. Just before halftime, Jack Harrison’s free-kick went over the crossbar.

Fofana, on the other hand, ended Chelsea’s 396-minute goalless streak early in the second half when he rose to head in a corner.

The hosts dug deep to try to hold on for a crucial victory, which they did despite Leeds’ increased pressure.

Despite the win, Chelsea remains in 10th place, while Leeds is 17th and one point above the relegation zone.

Arsenal Closes the Five-Point Gap

Reiss Nelson’s incredible goal in the 97th minute helped Arsenal come back from a two-goal deficit to defeat Bournemouth.

Philip Billing gave Bournemouth the lead after 9.11 seconds, and Marco Senesi’s header made it 2-0.

Following that, Thomas Partey and Ben White tied the game before Nelson’s game-winning goal.

The winger scored from 25 yards in the seventh minute of stoppage time, his first goal since November 12th.

Arsenal’s Premier League lead has been restored to five points after it appeared that it would be lost to Manchester City, who thrashed Newcastle in the early kickoff.

Even though Bournemouth attempted a major shock and got off to a fast start, the 3-2 away defeat kept them in the relegation zone.
