The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) uploaded 159,509 results from 176, 846 polling units seven days after the presidential election.

This figure represents 90% of the results from all polling units.

The electronic transmission of results was still in progress at the time of filing this report.

Nigerians and political parties have chastised INEC Chairman Prof. Mahmood Yakubu for failing to upload the results to the electoral body’s website.

However, INEC was chastised for failing to upload results to its viewing portal, which resulted in a walkout by some party agents at the National Collation Centre on Monday.

The results of all polling units had yet to be posted on the INEC website as of Saturday.

According to the Commission, the ruling All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Tinubu, received 8.8 million votes, while the main opposition candidates, Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi, received 6.9 million and 6.1 million votes, respectively.
