Buhari reacts to death of ex-Super Falcons coach, Ismaila Mabo

President Muhammadu Buhari has issued a statement in response to the death of former Super Falcons coach Ismaila Mabo.

Recall that 80-year-old Mabo passed away on Monday.

In a statement issued through his spokesman, Garba Shehu, Buhari expressed his condolences to Mabo’s family.

Ismaila Mabo Nakande, better known as their husband and father, passed away, and Buhari joined them in mourning his passing. He prayed that those who grieve would be blessed by the memory of the deceased.

Mabo was an accomplished football coach who had worked with and managed some of the most talented female players in Nigerian football history.

He was also a legendary footballer in the Nigerian domestic league, making his mark as a player and captain of Mighty Jets Football Club of Jos.

Mabo also represented the country as a formidable central defender with the Green Eagles.
