Police in Bauchi state say 11 persons have been arrested during celebration and rallies by supporters of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to the police in the north eastern state, the persons were arrested for alleged criminal conspiracy, thuggery and being in possession of weapons.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Ahmed Wakil, who disclosed this in a statement yesterday, said the operatives retrieved 30 assorted weapons from the supporters.

Recall that the police had warned against wild jubilation in the state.
