The Jigawa State Government has given its approval for a two-hour cut in official work hours during the Ramadan fasting in 2023.

Alhaji Hussaini Ali Kila, the head of the civil service, said this in a statement sent to news reporters.

The announcement said that instead of working until 5 pm Monday through Thursday, state employees would now report to work at 9 am and leave by 3 pm.

“While on Friday, workers would report by 9 am and close by 1 pm,” he said.
