Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, has expressed his condolences to former Abia State Governor Orji Uzor Kalu.
WITHIN NIGERIA reports that Kalu lost his 61-year-old wife, Ifeoma Ada Kalu on Monday.
The APC leader announced the unfortunate development on his Facebook page.
On Twitter, Atiku expressed his condolences to the family and prayed for the soul of the deceased.
He wrote;
I am deeply heartbroken by the news of Mrs Ifeoma Kalu’s passing. A loving wife, mother, and pillar of strength, her radiant spirit touched countless lives.
My heartfelt condolences to her dear husband—the Senate Chief Whip and former governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Kalu and his family during this time of immense sorrow.
May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
The Death Of A Darling Wife Is Traumatic – Lawan
Meanwhile, Senate President Ahmad Lawan has expressed condolences to his Orji Uzor Kalu following the death of his wife, Ifeoma Ada Kalu.
Lawan expressed his shock and sadness at the news of Kalu’s wife’s death, and he expressed his condolences to the government and the people of Abia State.
He prayed to Almighty God, however, to comfort the Senator and his entire family.
He said;
I condole with Senator Orji Uzor Kalu over the tragic and untimely death of his wife.
The death of a darling wife is traumatic and harrowing but we must accept the will of the Almighty.
We further take consolation in the fact that Mrs Kalu lived a virtuous life invested in the service of family, community and God.
I extend my condolences to the government and people of Abia State and pray that God will grant them the fortitude to bear the great loss.
