The Nigeria Police Katsina Command states it have apprehended two terrorists after foiling a kidnapping attempt on a businessman.
PPRO of the Katsina Police Command, CSP Gambo Isah, said in a statement that the operation was successful because it resulted in the killing of two alleged terrorists after receiving reliable information about the suspect.
He claimed that the suspects were about to carry out their heinous plan to kidnap a well-known businessman in the state when they encountered superior force.
He said two AK&47 rifles were recovered from the suspects.
“In the course of scanning the scene, the corpse of one Samaila Shehu, ‘M’, of Tsaunin Kura village, Malumfashi LGA, a notorious suspected terrorist, was found,” the statement added.
